Asian PPG Industries Limited was the first Indian Paint Manufacturer to be recommended for ISO: TS 16949 – a Technical Standard mandated by the Automotive Industry for their suppliers. ISO: TS 16949 has additional requirements specific to Automotive customers in addition to basic ISO 9001 requirement.
Asian PPG was certified for ISO: TS 16949:1999 in the year 2001. Later, when the standard was updated, Asian PPG was certified to the latest edition of this standard, i.e. ISO: TS 16949:2009.
