Manufacturing facility at Sriperumbudur
PPG Asian Paints’s maiden OEM automotive coatings manufacturing facility is set up in SIPCOT Industrial Park, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. This facility has been constructed on a 10.4 acre plot.
The Plant is strategically located close to the company’s major OEM customers – Hyundai, Ford and its ancillaries. The key features of the facility include: ambient and air-conditioned RM storages, bulk storage tanks, Petroleum Class Storage, Manufacturing Block housing the QA Lab, an Engineering block, Utilities section, an elaborate Environment management section, and Fire Management systems.
The present scope of the Plant design has been designed in-house and built in collaboration with PPG to produce up to 500 KL per annum of OEM Automotive Base Coats and Clearcoats, with additional space available for future expansion up to 10400 KL per annum.
A unique feature in the facility is the Electrostatic Bell Applicator, which is used to simulate the application conditions on the customer line – an important tool in shade development and problem solving. The Plant is designed to be a zero discharge facility.
We also manufacture through OPC and Asian Paints Manufacturing facility.
