RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

PPG Asian Paints’s R&D department is well equipped with instruments and equipments for paint testing. PPG Asian Paints has received recognition from the DST in 2008 and is the first company to get the TS 16949 certifcate.

In addition to this R&D setup, we also have a support R&D lab at PPG Asian Paints, Chennai manufacturing plant. This setup has state-of-the-art Bell machine facility for simulating actual OE line conditions.

At Bhandup, we’ve dedicated labs for Pretreatment, Electrocoat, Resins and Polymers development, color styling lab, Topcoat- Automotive & General Industrial, and refinish paint system. It is well equipped with Instruments and Equipments for Resin / Polymers and Paint development / testing. In addition to our test facility, we are also supported by Asian Paints R&D. They have one of the best paint library and paint testing and characterisation lab with analytical instruments that can analyse paint to its basic ingredients.

Besides Asian Paints, we are also globally supported by our other parent partner - PPG.

They have facilities all over the world including USA, Europe - Germany, France, Spain, and Italy, Asia - Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and China, Australia, etc. And thus PPG Asian Paints has the best support of both the parents- Asian Paints and PPG.
